Designing and stitching this piece during the long months of the pandemic lockdown gave me a sense of contentment. The soothing colors evoked feelings of hope and springtime. Completing each of the 135 squares or rectangles gave me a spark of joy!
Threads used are Gloriana Silk Floss & Princess Perle, Vineyard Silks, DMC Pearl Cotton, and 18 cards of Rainbow Gallery – silk, metallics, nylon, velvet, and rayon. Design size 10.5×10.5 on 18ct canvas.
